Bihar BJP veteran Satish Chandra Dubey has been elected a Rajya Sabha member from Bihar. He was elected unopposed. The term of former MP Satish Chandra Dubey will last till July 7, 2022.
He was elected unopposed as there was no candidate from the Grand Alliance. BJP leader Satish Chandra Dubey had filed the nomination form for the Rajya Sabha on October 4 by the NDA.
According to sources, this seat of Bihar quota was left vacant after the death of Rashtriya Janata Dal Rajya Sabha MP Ram Jethmalani. By-elections were held for this seat.
Satish Chandra Dubey on the other hand has won Lok Sabha Election in 2014 on a BJP ticket from Valmikinagar.
