Today Toyota has launched its Maruti Suzuki Baleno priced car at Rs 6.98 Lakh on road price (ex-showroom, Delhi). There is no smart hybrid system but also cheaper at Rs 24,000. Both entry-level variants will coexist and will continue to get similar features.
The Toyota Glanza is available in only two variants G and V, which are available in the Baleno's Zeta and Alpha trim and are now available in 5 variants.
According to reports the new Toyota Glanza G variant has a regular 1.2 liter VVT petrol engine, which conforms to BS VI standards. This 1197 cc four-cylinder engine gives power of 82 bhp at 6,000 rpm, which is 6 bhp less than the mild hybrid version.
It has a 5-speed manual gearbox and its lacking mild hybrid system to bring the variant at a low level. Its minimum mileage would be 21.01 kmpl. The Glanza variant also gets an optional CVT automatic transmission, which is available in both G and V trims.
