Basil is considered holy plant among Hindus.  Apart from being holy it has other benefits also.  Tulsi has anti-bacterial properties. It is a panacea for many skin problems ranging from dengue, viral fever. 

Diabetes: By drinking basil decoction or tea it brings down the sugar level under control making it beneficial for diabetes patients.

Kidney stone:  The problem of kidney stone is removed by drinking honey mixed with extracts of basil leaves. It is also beneficial in respiratory diseases like chronic bronchitis and asthma.

Body detox:  It is considered as a natural detoxifying, cleansing and purifying agent, which removes all the toxic substances in the body. This keeps you away from many problems. It also detoxes the liver.
