SPG Security Taken Back From Gandhi Family

In a major decision by the Indian Government SPG security of Gandhi family which includes Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Vadra has been taken back by the government.  Now Gandhi family will be covered under Z+ security.  This security is done by CRPF.  This security is a one step down in the security cover of the Gandhi family.  

Accordance of Z+ security is seen as a political decision taken by the government.  SPG security is the highest level of security given to any person.  And since years Gandhi family is enjoying this cover.  

According to the sources coming in Modi government has taken this big decision after the feedback from high level security and related agencies. Till now SPG security was given to the Prime Minister and Gandhi family.  Sources say that this important decision has been taken in a meeting of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
