Congress Free Nehru Memorial Museum and Library Society

The Bharatiya Janata Party has shown many leaders including Congress leaders Mallikarjun Kharge, Jairam Ramesh their way out of the Nehru Memorial Museum and Library Society in the recent days. 

As per the reports the president of this society is Prime Minister Narendra Modi and vice-president Rajnath Singh. The members of the society are Amit Shah, Nirmala Sitharaman and Prakash Javadekar. 

As per reports this museum and library was built in memory of former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. The cultural ministry has replaced Congress leaders Mallikarjun Kharge, Karan Singh and Jairam Ramesh, by BJP leader Anirban Ganguly, lyricist Prasoon Joshi and journalist Rajat Sharma.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
