Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi visited Lord Venkateswara here on Saturday night. Justice Gogoi accompanied his wife to Lord Balaji and after attending the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam guest house for a while, participated in the Sahasra Deepalankara ceremony. After this, he went to the temple of Lord Balaji. He also visited Sri Padmavati Devi Temple in nearby Tiruchanur. Justice Gogoi will retire from the post of Chief Justice on Sunday. Due to his visit, strict security arrangements have been made here. Earlier, temple officials gave a grand welcome to the Ranjan Gogoi couple.
Judge Ranjan Gogoi is retiring today, 17 November 2019. November 15 was the last day of his work in the Supreme Court. CJI Gogoi assumed the post of Chief Justice of the Supreme Court on 3 October 2018. But on 23 April 2012 he was appointed as a judge of the Supreme Court. Since then, Justice Ranjan Gogoi has given many historical decisions, including the Ayodhya case, for which the country will always remember him. He is also known for taking tough and sometimes surprising decisions.
