For the past several years, the wait for the Sikhs to visit the Kartarpur Sahib will be fulfilled today by the inauguration of Kartarpur corridor in Pakistan is over. Today, on the occasion of the 550th Prakash Parv of Guru Nanak Dev, the Kartarpur corridor will be opened, which will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi today.
PM Modi will reach Sultanpur Lodhi before inaugurating during this period. Where he will pray in the Gurudwara Ber Saheb. This is the place where Guru Nanak Dev did penance under the berry tree. After which PM Modi will inaugurate the corridor and send the first batch of Indian pilgrims to Kartarpur Sahib Gurdwara.
On the occasion of the inauguration of the Kartarpur corridor, many prominent personalities of the country including former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh, actor and MP Sunny Deol will be involved.
The Kartarpur Corridor will connect the Dera Baba Nanak Gurdwara located in Gurdaspur district of India with the Kartarpur Sahib Gurdwara in Pak.
