PM Modi on a three-day visit to Thailand

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has left for a three-day visit to Thailand this morning. In Thailand, the Prime Minister will participate in the ASEAN East Asia and RCEP conference related to ASEAN countries. Apart from this, the Prime Minister will also meet the Indian community living in Thailand and address them.

According to the Ministry of External Affairs, in addition to addressing the Indian community on the very first day of their visit, the Prime Minister will issue specially made coins on the 550th Prakash Parv of Guru Nanak Devji while also releasing the translation of the Tamil work Tirukural in Thai language. Are the ones. Let me tell you that this will be the 7th ASEAN-India Summit of Prime Minister Modi.

The momentum gained between relations between India and Thailand will be discussed in the meeting. The steps being taken by India in this direction include the commitments made in Delhi to 1000 PhD scholarships to ASEAN students in IIT.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
