Hundred People Detained In Kerala Related To CAB

The fire of civil amendment bill has now reached Kerala from Delhi and Uttar Pradesh.  Government and private buses were pelted with stones during protests against the citizenship law in Kerala.

A statewide bandh has been called by around 33 organizations in Kerala on Tuesday to protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act 2019.  Police has taken into custody about 100 people of the state.

As reported by the confirmed sources protesters from districts such as Kannur, Kasaragod, Palakkad and Ernakulam in Kerala have forced shops to close and blocked the road.  Heavy police force has been deployed in the districts where the protest is being done.

The same writ petition was filed in the Calcutta High Court on the statement of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.  The petition said that Mamata Banerjee said that the Citizenship Amendment Act would not be implemented in the state and the state government advertised in the media using public money.

The Delhi Police has arrested 10 people with criminal background in connection with the Jamia Millia Islamia incident that took place on 15 December.  There are no students among those arrested.
