Udhav meeting With Prime Minister Modi

According to the latest reports coming in ftom Maharashtra, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray met Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the first time after becoming CM. 

Uddhav Thackeray welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Pune airport on Friday evening.  PM Modi arrived in Pune, Maharashtra to participate in the National Conference of Directors and Inspectors General.  

CM Uddhav Thackeray reached Pune Airport to welcome PM Modi.  After this, the two leaders also attended a program.  Former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis was also present in this program.

After the Maharashtra Assembly elections, the alliance of BJP and Shiv Sena was broken.  The two parties had differences over the chief minister's post, after which Shiv Sena formed the Maharashtra government with the support of Congress and NCP.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
