Rajasthan Government has made reading of Preamble of the Constitution in schools mandatory for all the students and the orders have been issued to District Education officers to implement the same.Earlier, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh government have also issued similar orders, making reading Preamble mandatory in schools.
On a daily basis in schools,Preamble will be read out during prayers and the government has also decided that the Preamble will be printed in the front page of English and Hindi books itself for the coming session.
Reading the Preamble will bring awareness among the students and will also make them understand the basic principles of justice, equality, liberty and brotherhood.It will connect them with these values from the very start of their education.
