Reports coming in as former Speaker of the 2019 Lok Sabha of the country and veteran BJP leader Sumitra Mahajan has been detained by the Indore Police. Along with Sumitra Tai, BJP President Rakesh Singh has also been arrested.
In fact, Sumitra Mahajan has been arrested for demonstrating despite the implementation of Section 144 in Indore district of Madhya Pradesh. All were demonstrating at the Collector office along with their workers. BJP workers allege that the state's Kamal Nath government is taking malicious actions against mafias in the name of campaign and accused of debt waiver and not giving allowance to the unemployed.
