The Supreme Court today heard the petition of Mukesh Singh, who is sentenced death penalty in the Nirbhaya case in Delhi. The court has reserved the verdict of Mukesh's petition.
Also, the Supreme Court has rejected the demand of lawyers to provide documents. Mukesh's lawyers Anjana Prakash, lawyers Rebecca John and Vrinda Grover have made serious allegations against the Tihar jail administration saying that Mukesh was sexually abused in the jail.
Accused Mukesh's lawyer says that Mukesh, along with Akshay, the other accused in the Nirbhaya case were asked to have a physical relationship in front of everyone in jail, Mukesh has been unable to sleep because of the fear of beating. He dreamt of beating at night.
Mukesh's lawyer says that DNA of Nirbhaya accused Ram Singh and Akshay Thakur was found on Nirbhaya's body. Not only this, the lawyer has said that Ram Singh, accused in the Nirbhaya case, was killed in jail, he has not committed suicide. The jail administration closed the case by turning Ram Singh's murder into a suicide.
