Plea Of Pawan Gupta Co Accused In Nirbhaya's Case To Be Heard Today

The Supreme Court will be hearing the plea of ​​Pawan Gupta convicted of Delhi's Nirbhaya gangrape murder case today.  Pawan has thrown a new trumpcard to get pardon from hanging.  Pawan had filed a petition which states that when the incident happened at that time he was a minor and because of that he can't be sentenced to death.  The authorities didn't conducted bone test to ascertain his age.  

Pawan also added that a stay order should be issued for February 1 and sent to Tihar Jail administration to stop his hanging from taking place on the said date.  According to reports plea of ​​Pawan will be heard by the bench of Justice R Bhanumathi, Justice Ashok Bhushan and AS Bopanna today.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
