The Supreme Court has refused to ban the National Population Register (NPR) process and also issued notice to the government for the same.A public petition was filed on Monday to ban NPR, but Supreme Court has responded to the same and refused to immediately ban NPR and also said that the hearing of this petition will be accompanied by the CAA-related petitions.
