Central Government Approaches Court Against Nirbhaya's Convicts

The Central Government has approached the High Court challenging the order against postponing the hanging of Nirbhaya convicts in Delhi.

The government has filed a petition in the High Court against the decision of the court.  Today the High Court will hear the petition of the Central Government.

The Delhi High Court has also issued notices to the four convicts, as well as issuing notices to the Tihar Jail's Superintendent and DG, seeking answers.

The Patiala House Court on Friday postponed the hanging of the four convicts.  The Delhi High Court will hear the Nirbhaya case at 3 pm on Sunday.  The mercy petition of the same convict Vinay has been rejected by the President.
