Hurriyat leader Gilani's Health Deteriorating, Valley On Alert

The security forces have been deployed and valley is on the alert, as the health of Hurriyat leader Sayyed Shah Gilani is deteriorating. All Parties Hurriyat Conference at night gave a statement in which they mentioned that everyone should gather near Eidgah incase Gilani takes his last breath.But the Divisional Commissioner of Kashmir claimed that these are just rumors and Gilani is fine and recovering now. Gilani is facing multiple ailments from a long time and in a statement which was earlier issued by Hurriyat, he expressed his wish to be buried in Mazare Shohda in Srinagar.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
