Ranjeet Bacchan Murder Case: Shooter arrested from Mumbai

After the murder of Vishwa Hindu Mahasabha President Ranjit Srivastava 'Bachchan', the shooter was successful in running away and headed for Mumbai via train.

Police reached Mumbai in search of him. While in Mumbai, he kept changing his location, but finally police caught him on Wednesday. As soon as he was taken into custody, police started questioning him and took two more people into custody. Police sources claim that he will be brought to Lucknow by late Wednesday or Thursday morning.

On Sunday, State President of the World Hindu Mahasabha Ranjit Bachhan was shot and killed in the Hajratganj area of Lucknow, when he went for morning walk.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
