Deputy Governor Of RBI Resigns

The Reserve Bank has received a setback again, RBI Deputy Governor NS Vishwanathan has resigned from his post.  He has resigned six months before the completion of his tenure.  Earlier, Viral Acharya resigned from his post.  NS Vishwanathan was appointed deputy governor to the post of Viral Acharya.

 According to media reports, Vishwanathan has resigned from his post due to his health reasons.  It is being told that doctors have advised him to rest.  After Vishwanathan's resignation, there are now three deputy governors in the RBI.

Before there were four deputy governors in the RBI.  Whose government is appointed on the opinion of the governor.  During the first term of PM Modi, RBI Governor Urjit Patel resigned.  Earlier in 2018, Arvind Subramanian Swamy resigned.  In 2017, NITI Aayog Vice Chairman Arvind Panagariya resigned from his post.
