Major Fire Reported In Kupwara Army Base

Reports coming in from Kupwara where a massive fire has broken out in the Army camp in Kupwara in North Kashmir in Jammu and Kashmir.  

The incident is being reported at 6 pm on Tuesday evening.  In the incident, an army soldier has been scorched while two army vehicles and several oil tankers have been gutted.  As soon as the fire was known the fire brigade reached the spot and the fire was controlled.  CRPF personnel of this camp are reported safe.

Asmper confirmed sources the stove was burning in the camp, a can of kerosene oil fell from the hand of a CRPF jawan. This exaggerated the fire.  However, no one was killed in the incident.  Police investigation is on.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
