Recommendations Given By RBI In The Fight Against Covid-19

In this hard period when the country is fighting against covid-19 pandemic and people are also under immense pressure.  

At this stage Reserve Bank of India has come up with new recommendations that will help people to fight this dreaded disease along with the country.

According to recommendations there will be an extension of the realisation period of the export proceeds.

There will be a review of the limit the ways and means of the advances of states and union territories.

And there will be interpretation of the counter cyclical capital buffer.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
