Rishi Kapoor Passes Away At The Age Of 67 Due To Cancer Relapse

Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor has passed away at the age of 67 at a hospital in Mumbai.

He is survived by his son Ranbir Kapoor and his wife Neetu Kapoor.  He was batting relapse of cancer.  He was the son of Raj Kapoor.  He was shooting for sharmaji namkin at the capital early this year when his cancer relapsed and he was admitted in a hospital in Mumbai on Wednesday due to complications.

His wife and son was present by his bedside when he breathed last.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
