SCBA Requests All Judges To Cancel Summer Vacations

Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) in a major decisions has passed resolution stating and urging Chief Justice of India S A Bobde and other sitting judges to cancel their summer vacations.

This resolution has been sent over to these judges with the view to compensate the time which has been lost with the present spread of covid-19.

As per reports all the the courts and judiciary have suffered major loss of time since due to lock down everything has been closed.  

As the court has also restricted its functioning due to the spread of covid-19.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
