Alarming Single Day Rise in The Cases Of Covid-19 In India

There have been a sudden spike in the number of cases of covid-19.  Even as the country has opened it shops and offices amid lockdown.  

It is seen that there have been a sudden strike in the number of cases of covid-19 reported in the country.

Since today morning 6387 new cases have come up in the country.  And 170 have been reported today.  These figures are very large number of figures to deal with in a single day.

Total number of covid-19 cases now reported in the country till now are 1,51,767.  With 83004 total active covid-19 cases.  The total number of cured people from this disease are 64,425 who have been discharged from the hospital.  Till nos 4337 deaths have been reported in the country.

These latest figures have been shared by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare just short while from now.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
