Gairsain Declared The Summer Capital Of Uttarakhand

Reports are coming from Uttrakhand that Gairsain in Chamoli district was declared the summer capital on Monday.


This notification was issued by Chief Secretary Utpal Kumar Singh after governor Baby Rani Maurya gave her assent to move.


Expressing happiness ,BJP Vice President of Uttarakhand Devendra Bhasin said by doing so the party has fulfilled promise made in its poll manifesto.


Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat made Gairsain the summer capital of Uttarakhand during the budget session of the state assembly there on March 4. 


This announcement was made soon after finishing his budget speech in the assembly at Gairsain. It is dedicated to thousand of men and women of Uttarakhand who  fought for its statehood.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
