Prime Minister Narendra Modi Will Conduct Video Conferencing With Chief Ministers Today

According to reports coming in from Prime Minister Narendra Modi office which has stated that PM Modi will be interacting with various chief ministers of different states of the country through video conferencing.

This video conferencing of PM Modi with Chief Ministers of various states of the country will be for the reviewing of situations arising because of covid-19 outspread.

As per reports covid-19 cases are still on a rise in the country with Maharashtra topping the list.  Delhi also has been reporting very high number of cases with Gujarat and Rajasthan following these states.

It is expected that in this video conferencing of Chief Ministers with Prime Minister Modi future steps will be discussed to stop the spread of covid-19.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
