Rajasthan Seals Borders As Coronavirus Cases Continue To Rise

Reports are coming from Rajasthan that the government has sealed all the borders on Wednesday as Covid-19 cases are rising.


Reports are also coming that no person can enter Rajasthan without a "no objection certificate" from the state or leave without a pass. All movements to and from the state will be regulated.


Further directions will be issued to all range IGs, SPs, commissioners and deputy commissioners in this regard. They were also ask to put check post along the state border with immediate effect and check the arrangements in place for the next 7 days. Apart from this, checkpost will be put at railway station and airport.


Authorities will be issuing passes for only emergency cases like hospitalization or death may be exempted.


The number of covid-19 in state increased to 11,368 with 123 fresh cases on Wednesday morning.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
