Schools And Colleges To Be Opened After August 15, 2020

Reports have been coming in from Government of India where Union HRD Minister Ramesh pokhriyal have announced tentative dates for opening of schools and colleges.

As per reports coming in HRD Minister have said that if everything goes well then it is expected that schools and colleges will be opened after August 15, 2020.

As reported schools and colleges are closed due to the outspred of covid-19 in the country from March 24, 2020 and since then they have not been opened.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
