10 Days Complete Lockdown In Pune Starting From 13th July

Reports are coming from Pune, Maharashtra that 22 villages have been identified in rural parts of Pune district where complete lockdown will be implemented. Apart from Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad area containment zones these villages will be added. 

Lockdown in these area will be from 13 July to 23rd July. Only shops related to to essential services like dairy products and medical stores will be open emergency services will also be open like hospital , ambulance etc. This decision was taken by Pune divisional Commissioner Deepak Mhaisekar and nawal Kishore Ram Pune district collector.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
