Complete Lockdown In Uttar Pradesh Streets Wear Deserted Look Till July 13

Reports have been coming in from prayagraj where the streets have been giving a deserted look.

Due to the widespread outbreak of covid-19 cases in the state UP Government have imposed a complete lockdown from 10 p.m. yesterday till 5:00 a.m. of 13 July, 2020.

Police have dedicated some locations of Uttar Pradesh which were the hotspot areas of the disease.

All the offices, shops, business establishments and markets will remain closed for these days.   Only essential services will remain open and other services will follow complete lockdown.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
