Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Arrives In Leh On A Two Day Visit

Reports have been coming in from Jammu and Kashmir where Defence Minister is on a two day visit to the state.  

As per reports Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will also be visiting Ladakh in his two day visit.  

The Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is accompanied by Chief of Defence staff General Bipin Rawat and Army Chief General MM Naravane.

On his two day visit to Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh the Defence Minister today arrived in Ladakh. 

At the Leh airport he was accompanied by Senior officials.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
