Relief And Rescue Operation To Be Done In Uttarakhand

Reports are coming from Uttrakhand that one person has been found while searching for seven others in underway. Reports are also coming that weather is not favorable to the teams that are undertaking relief and rescue operation causing delay in work however a team is dispatched to national disaster response force underway. 

Reports are also coming that CM of Uttarakhand Trivendra Rawat has instructed Pithoragarh district magistrate that there should not be any laxity in relief and rescue work. CM has also instructed to provide relief amount to affected people. Two teams of SDRF are engaged in relief and rescue operation.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
