Uttarakhand Receives Heavy Rainfall, Rivers Crossed Danger Level

Reports coming in from Uttrakhand where the state is receiving very heavy rainfall.

As there is a very heavy rainfall in the state rivers has been reportedly increasing due to this heavy rainfall.  

One such river Gori level has been reportedly increasing by heavy rainfall.

As per reports five houses have been reportedly washed away by the increase in the level of the river Gori.  According to district magistrate all the families have been shifted to the safer places.

Compensation will be provided to the families whose houses have been washed away.

Due to the increasing level in the river 30 more houses are in danger.  As a water level in river Gori is reportedly increasing continuously.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
