690 Metric Tons Of Ammonium Nitrate Found In 37 Containers In Manali

Reports are coming from Tamil Nadu that about 690 metric tons of Ammonium Nitrate seized by Chennai custom in 2015 is kept in 37 containers in Manali. 

According to the reports coming through police that Deputy Chief Controller of Explosives has done preliminary inspection to assess safety. Customs is taking immediate measures for disposal. 

After a destructive incident in Beirut customs have issued new guidelines for the disposal of Ammonium Nitrate and other hazardous material. Incident of Beirut has taken lives of many and it is due to the explosion of Ammonium Nitrate. We had to be cautious as in Chennai there is a seizure of Ammonium Nitrate which is the same substance for explosion in Beirut.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
