Former President Pranab Mukherjee Passed Away

According to the reports coming and former President Pranab Mukherjee passed away at Army hospital.  According to the report is coming in In this hospital he was admitted earlier this month and had undergone surgery for the removal of clot in his brain. He was also tested positive for Covid-19. 

Recent reports are also coming in that Pranab Mukherjee son,  Abhijit Mukherjee, former MP gave information in his tweet. 

In his tweet he said that ,"With the heavy heart, this is to inform you that my father Shri Pranab Mukherjee had just passed away Inspite of the best efforts Of doctors of RR hospital & prarthanas from people throughout India. I thank you all. "

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
