As per reports coming in a male elephant was found dead in the Elbow Keshapalli Village under Dharma forest range in Sambalpur Odisha yesterday.
Cause of the death has still been unknown and a post mortem will be conducted on the elephant to ascertain the cause of death.
Probe has been ordered by the district forest office regarding the death of the elephant.
In the recent past we have seen the death of many elephants under mysterious circumstances as well as the residents giving them poisonous food.
On one occasion we have seen that a female elephant it was killed when she was given a firecracker in her mouth with some food item. The female elephant was pregnant at the time of her death.
