SC Refused To Entertain Plea For A CBI Probe In Criminal Rakesh Pandey Encounter

According to recent reports coming in Supreme Court in a recent decision has refusesd to entertain a PIL seeking a probe by  CBI  in an encounter of wanted criminal Rakesh Pandey in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. 

According to the reports coming in Supreme Court has refused to give any decision in the alleged encounter of Rakesh Pandey.

As per reports the Supreme Court has asked the advocate who had filed for the CBI enquiry in to the encounter of Rakesh Pandey to proceed and approach concerned High Court into the matter.

The advocate has asked for a fair, independent & impartial investigation into the alleged encounter of wanted criminal Rakesh Pandey in Uttar Pradesh's Lucknow.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
