Opposition Parties Led By Congress Boycott Lok Sabha In Opposition Of Agriculture Bill

Reports coming in from National Capital of the country New Delhi where all opposition parties led by Congress boycotted Lok Sabha session. 

The session was boycotted in support of Rajya Sabha MPs who have been suspended for one week and farm Bills issue 

Opposition MPs, inlcuding Congress' Adhir Ranjan Choudhary and NCP's Supriya Sule, hold a meeting in Parliament premises after boycotting the ongoing Lok Sabha session. 

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla is holding a meeting with members of Opposition parties after they announced boycott of the session in solidarity with suspended Rajya Sabha MPs and& in opposition of the agriculture bills.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
