Blast In Peshawar, Pakistan Mosque Leaves Eight Dead And 110 Injured

Reports have been coming in from Peshawar where an explosion at a mosque and madrassa (religious seminary) in Pakistan’s northwestern city of Peshawar on Tuesday left at least eight people dead and more than 110 injured.  

Many of the injured are said to be children and students of the Madarsa where the blast took place.

The blast took place at around 8.30 am local time at the Jamaat mosque, which serves as a religious school named Jamia Zubairia Madrassa, for the local community in the city’s Dir Colony.

According to Pehawar police students, including many adults, were studying the Quran when the explosion occurred.
