Covid Cases Surges To 48,648 In 24 Hours In The Country

Ministry of Health and Family Welfare have given latest data of positive cases of covid-19 in the country.

As reported India has surged with 48,648 new COVID19 infections in the country in the past 24 hours.

Now with the recent surge India's total cases stands to 80,88,851. With 563 new deaths in the past 24 hours, total deaths now mounts to 1,21,090 due to covid-19.  

Right now the total active cases are 5,94,386 after a decrease of 9301 in last 24 hrs.

Total cured cases till now since the onset of Covid-19 are 73,73,375 with 57,386 new discharges in last 24 hrs.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
