First Day Of Navratri Is Being Celebrated With Full Enthusiasm

Reports have been coming in from the national capital of the country New Delhi where Navratri is being celebrated with great enthusiasm.

Prayers are also being offered at Jhandewalan Temple in Delhi on the first day of Navratri, today. 

Reports are also coming from Kerala where Sabarimala temple have been reopened for devotees yesterday months after it was closed in the wake of COVID19 pandemic. 

In this Sabarimala temple only 250 people are allowed for darshan per day and COVID-19 negative certificate, obtained in the last 48 hours, is mandatory for visiting the temple. 

Reports also coming in from Kanpur Devotees offer their prayers at city's Vaibhav Lakshmi & Durga temple on the first day of Navratri, today.

People have been thanking the govt for re-opening the temple. All COVID19 measures are being taken by us & temple is being sanitised regularly.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
