Lower In The Positive Cases Of Covid-19 In The Country

Reports have been coming in from Ministry of Health and Family Welfare which has informed media of the decline in the cases of covid-19 in the country.

As per Ministry of Health and Family Welfare this decline in the cases of covid-19 in the country is because of the higher testing rate which the country has done to bring down the number of positive cases in the country.

as reported by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare India has exponentially scaled up its testing capacity from one in January to more than 10.65 cr at present. 

This very high testing has resulted in the continuously falling positivity rate. It is 7.54% at present.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
