Major Fire Outside Chembur Railway Station Market

Reports have been coming in from economic capital of the country Mumbai where a fire has broken out in Chembur.

As per reports a major fire has broken out in the market of Chembur railway station in Mumbai.

However 10 fire tenders have been deployed to douse the fire.  

However it is reported that the fire which has broken out is outside the Chembur Railway station market has been doused and cooling operations is underway.

No reports of any casualties of life or property has been reported.   Investigations are underway by the local administration as to how the fire has broken out.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
