Six People Arrested From Indore Madhya Pradesh On Charges Of Betting In IPL

Reports have been coming in from Madhya Pradesh where Madhya Pradesh Police have arrested 6 people.

As per reports coming in from Madhya Pradesh, Indore six people were arrested for their alleged involvement in illegal betting on cricket matches being played at IPL,2020 in Rajendra Nagar area of Indore. 

The SHO Amrita Singh Solanki in a media interference have said that the persons who have been arrested were having 18 mobiles, electronic gadgets and cash in their possession was seized. 

However investigation as on and the probe underway to search for any other possibility of more people involved in this racket.  The links of these six people arrested is also being established with other bookies of the country.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
