Why IPL Is Related To Betting Across The Country

IPL matches who are played between Indian states and are one of the most hyped matches in the country are main source of illegal betting among various sections of the people.

Reports have been coming in from various parts of the country including Andhra Pradesh. In this illegal betting six persons were also arrested from Indore Madhya Pradesh including various others from all across the country.

Betting of Lakhs and Crores of Rupees is being done in this IPL matches. 

As per reports from Andhra Pradesh police where Krishna District Police arrested 18 persons for their alleged involvement in illegal betting on the cricket matches being played at IPL, 2020. 

Police have recovered 17 mobile phones, Rs 6.45 lakhs cash & a TV have been seized among other things. Investigations have been initiated in the case to establish their links with various other parts of the country including the players of the teams. 

Following on information more raids were conducted in five locations across Hyderabad, Delhi, Jaipur and Nagaur in connection with illegal betting on the cricket matches being played at IPL, 2020. 

With the help of local police, ATS officials have taken into custody 7 people each from Hyderabad and Jaipur for interrogation. 

Accused from Delhi & Nagaur locations are yet to be nabbed. We are further investigating the matter.
