Solicitor General Tushar Mehta Informs SC About Latest Development In Hathras Gangrape Case

Reports have been coming in from Supreme Court Of India where Solicitor General Tushar Mehta for UP govt had informed SC about affidavit filed by it.

In the affidavit there has been details  about the security deployments outside Hathras Gangrape victim's house.  It also states that protection has been given to her family and all the witnesses in the case.

He had also informed the Court that victim's family has engaged advocate Seema Kushwaha as their private lawyer

Tushar Mehta further informed the SC that Hathras victim's family wants SC to supervise and UP government has no problem with that, this is not adversarial.

CJI Bobde tells Mehta, "Let the HC deal with this and we will supervise in the sense we're the ultimate supervisor and appellate body."
