Djibouti Receives The Sagar-II Mission

Reports have been coming in from Djibouti where the Sagar-II mission has arrived.

As per reports in continuation of ongoing mission ‘Sagar-II’, INS Airavat arrived at Port of Djibouti on 10 Nov. 

Government of India is providing assistance to Friendly Foreign Countries to overcome natural calamities and COVID19 pandemic and INS Airavat is carrying food aid for people of Djibouti 

A handing over ceremony was held at Port Djibouti, wherein Mme Ifrah Ali Ahmed, Secretary-General, Ministry of Social Affairs and Solidarity of Djibouti accepted the food aid from Ashok Kumar, Ambassador of India to Djibouti.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
