After the defeat of Congress in the Bihar assembly elections, there is a big furore in Congress. Senior Congress leaders Kapil Sibal, P Chidambaram also opened a front against the party high command.

According to senior leaders the organization is weak. There is a dire need to strengthen it at the ground level. After the Bihar election results, a meeting of the Congress steering committee was held, to discuss the defeat in Bihar.

The leaders of the high command were to attend the meeting. But only 4 members were present in the meeting. KC Venugopal, Randeep Singh Surjewala, Ambika Soni, General Secretary Mukul Wasnik attended the meeting.

Apart from Bihar, Congress had suffered in many states including Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat. In addition to this, the leaders of the coalition are also angry and are advising the Congress to bring a change in the basis of Congress functioning.

It has been learned from sources that after the defeat in Bihar elections, senior party leaders have again written a letter to Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. Also, senior leaders of the party including Bihar have also expressed their desire to resign from the party. The demand for review of the party and action against responsible leaders has also intensified since the Congress's poor performance in Bihar.

After reviewing poor performance, successive Congress leaders in Bihar have started offering their resignations. It has been learned that many big leaders of the party have even sent their resignations to the party high command.

Bihar Assembly election in-charge Shakti Singh Gohil, State Congress President Madan Mohan Jha has also offered their resignation. However, no final decision has been taken on this yet. Leaders say that ticket distribution should also be investigated in the elections, sources have said that hundreds of resignations have been sent to Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi from many states including Bihar.
