Bengaluru Crime Branch Conducts Raids At Various Locations

As per reports coming in from Bengaluru where raids have been conducted in various locations by the Central Crime Branch.

It is coming to the reports that around two raids have been conducted by Central Crime Branch (CCB). As per reports one prostitution racket has been unearthed in the raids which were conducted.

Bengaluru Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) has informed the media that four women of foreign nationality rescued in the first raid done by the Central Crime Branch.  And in the 2nd case, a cricket betting racket busted, betting was being done for INDvAUS T20 match. 

The Crime Branch has seized Rs 4.5 Lakhs from the custody of the people who have been arrested.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
