BJP Leader Kailash Vijayvargiya Convoy Attacked At South Paraganas

Reports have been coming in from West Bengal where protestors have attacked the convoy of BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya in Diamond Harbou.

As per reports protestors pelted stones at the vehicle of BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya in Diamond Harbour

He was on his way to South 24 Paraganas. Protestors also attempted to block the road from where BJP President JP Nadda's convoy was passing.

In an interview given to ANI BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya at South 24 Paraganas have said that I have been injured in this attack. The party president's car was also attacked. 

He also added that we as a party strongly condemn it. In the presence of police, goons attacked us. It felt as if we were not in our own country.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
